Every good project begins as a thought. Samantha's thoughts were along the lines of making dog jumps.

Samantha loves animals, and she is a very industrious girl who likes to put actions along with her love of animals.
Therefore, it was decided that our project would be dog jumps whereby she would be able to exercise her dogs and keep me occupied at the same time.
I listened very carefully as she described her plans. We would need to visit Home Depot before the morning would be over.
I am her consultant, and advisor, and even her general contractor as as well
as ventue capitalist, but she is definitely in charge of the project.
With the PVC in hand, we began measuring our dimensions.

Cutting PVC is not difficult. A hacksaw will do, but we prefer a pipe cutter because it does not leave burs which will have to be trimmed.

With pencil marks completed, the cutting begins.....

We decided to use mineral spirits to clean the PVC after the cuts were completed, but an operator error pulling on the gloves amputated the ring finger on the right glove (not the finger on the operator, but the finger on the glove). We decided to use liberal amounts of duct tape to effect a repair and continue our assembly.

Duct tape is a wonderful invention. I think it can be used to repair almost anything.
After all, it was used to repair the Apollo 13 spacecraft after their oxygen tank blew up on the way to the moon. So if it can do all that, why not fix a leak in a latex glove?

Mineral spirits makes a nice cleaner. We are making progress.

We are nearly finished, but the decorations still need to be applied.
We use colored electrical tape for our designs.....

And voila!!!!
We have dog jumps and jumping dogs!
